Question 95 cirrus quitting

95 v-6. Will run for a while then just quit. After sitting, sometimes 5 mins sometimes longer, it restarts and good to go for a bit long. Last time it quit check for spark and no spark. So my question is what would cause it to temporary lose spark like that? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!!

Re: 95 cirrus quitting

The crankshaft-shaft sensor is the first place to look. There are ways to test this, but given it's cheap and relatively easy to replace, I'd suggest just replacing it.

If that's not it, and you're sure it's a "no spark" condition, it's most likely in the distributor. That's way more expensive, so I'd suggest replacing only if the above doesn't fix everything.
