97 accord, day time running lights
My DRL light on my dash is on, which is for my daytime running lights.
I know they don't work, and i believe its because of the relay. Would this cause the DS high beam not to work? I thought my bulb was burnt out, but it wasn't, and when i turn my high beams on, only the pass side comes on. If i check for power, there is power to one of the pins when the high beams are off, but as soon as you turn high beams on, there is no power. Also, where is the DRL relay located? |

Re: 97 accord, day time running lights
i don't know where your DRL relay is (Hondas don't have DRL here) but you are on the right track...DRL's burn the high beam element (since it's used less than the low beam) at 80% or so voltage...so the problem is with the left highbeam circuit, not neccessarily the DRL circuit, though it could be...
Check the underhood fuse and relay box first, make sure there's not a dedicated fuse for the left and right highbeam...Honda is known for fusing things L/R instead of together...

Re: 97 accord, day time running lights
i have checked all fuses.. they are good. I do know its the relay, just need to find where it is.. somewhere under ds dash. I will have to look for it.
I did some searching, and i guess when the relay is bad, it will make one of the high beams not work... And you are correct, there is 2 seperate fuses for right side and left side lights... |

OK...like I said, DRL on Honda is not a problem I run across here...
