Brake conversion

I have a 73 nova with manual brakes and drums all around. I want to put in power disc brakes. I've found conversion kits for drum to disc, but I don't know if these will work if I don't already have power brakes. Any tips or suggestions?

Re: Brake conversion

I did a conversion from all drum non power to power discs on the front on my 71 nova. I got a kit from classic performance parts at the pomona swapmeet. They're located in southern california. The kit came with everything for the conversion including a new master and power booster. I am extremely happy with the results. Stopping is like night and day.

In short they should work, but I would look into getting a kit that is matched with the master cylinder and power booster included.

Good Luck!
