i have a 99 blazer and recently when i leave it parked out in the weather, the engine light comes on and blinks and it doesn't want to get going?it does this for about ten min of driving then starts running fine again?it doesn't do it if i park it in the garage.the engine light stays on after it starts running ok then the next day, after its been in the gargae over night, the light goes off after about 2 mins, and runs fine.then when i get off work and come out to start it,it does it all over again.anyone have any ideas why this is??

Re: blazer not running right
Without knowing what codes are set, at best it's a guess what's wrong with it. If the distributor cap, rotor, and spark plug wires have not been replaced recently, that could very well be what's wrong.
Advance Auto and Autozone will check the codes at no charge. Write them down and post them here. Don't take their word for it and buy a boat load of parts that you may not need. |

Re: blazer not running right
I agree with old master, get it scanned, see what you have there. Also if your having a misfire(which sounds like you are having) don't keep driving you truck like that, you could easily damage you cat. convertor and cost you more money in the long run. Best to get it checked out sooner than later.

Re: blazer not running right
I go along with all and the scan may pinpoint that blinking SES light is a misfire of one or random cylinders due to many reasons.
