The primary cooling fan does not operate. There is no power at the fan motor connector, even with temp gauge at 260. I replaced the coolant temp switch, (seems to be for the gauge), swapped the fan relays with the horn relay and still no power. Is there another temp switch. The only one I could locate was at the rear of the lower intake on the drivers side of the car. The secondary fan does operate with the a/c on only, (and with each of the three relays I swapped)

Re: no cooling fan operation 1994 Regal, 3.8L
Welcome to AF. The fan should have 12v all the time, then the relays ground the circuit thru a pcm commnand. Check the wiring diagrams at autozone.com/repairinfo for circuit tracing, of course you checked the fan fuses?

Thanks, I'll check there. Yes, fuses all are good. So the input to the ecm is only from the switch for the gauge?

No it is from the coolant temp, sensor, not the one wire sensor for the gage, also when the ac is on there is a seperate command from the pcm.
