cat back exhausts??
does a cat back setup really make much difference in horsepower or is it just for the loud exhaust sound? i know that to really make a difference you need to do the headers and cat converters but i'm not made of money. does it make sense to do a cat back? what kind would you recomend if so?

Re: cat back exhausts??
it makes a very small difference.
if you want a real difference you need longtube headers, no cats, and 3" true duals.

Re: cat back exhausts??
A catback is a basic bolt-on. It frees up some horsepower and is a relatively cheap mod, depending on which system you go with. LT's and Y pipe can always be added on later. That's how most people mod cars, a little at a time.

The exhaust is the 1st most restrictive part of the engine, followed by the intake and air tract. |
