Hurry, Time critical...95 caravan
Ok, ive got another thread but it seems to be ignored...I have a 95 dodge grand caravan with the 3.8 l mfi...Ive replaced the fuel pump, the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel filter..im getting spark and the fuel pump is comin on...so all the relays are good, im thinking its the fuel pressure dampener..but my hanes manual says its located right behind the fuel pressure regulator but its not....is it part of the fuel pump assembly in the tank? Im going to replace the fuel pump again today under warranty to see if that helps...but i would still like to know...ya know? lol..ive got hours and money invested in this and im stuck in Texas with no gas money home and this van is eating up what little cash i DO have left...
Ps..im also going to borrow the code reader from Autozone when i go into replace the fuel pump, just incase but its not indicating any codes so who knows...i would hate for this all to be a vacume leak or something causing me to loose fuel pressure at the rails...grrrrr |

Re: Hurry, Time critical...95 caravan
It'd help if you described your problem, instead of the steps you took to remedy said problem.

Re: Hurry, Time critical...95 caravan
i did in a previiuse post....no to low fule pressure at the fuel rail....
ps...what code reader does my van take? the guy at Autozone said that if the connector is under the dash then its an OBD II but its not....i rented one and it dont fit....and still..where is the fuel pressure dampener?? edit: ok so i replaced the fuel pump again under warranty and it fires right up and stays running, pressure stays regular...now..what i want to know is why did it fail AGAIN in the first place..i mean it only had 900 miles on it....gees! Re: Hurry, Time critical...95 caravan
What brand of pump did you get? Some are of quite inferior quality
