Talking master cylinder

Can anyone advise what holds the brake fluid container that set on top of the master cylinder on. Mine seems a little loose. Is there a way of tightening it up? If not what is involved in replacing it?
Thanks

Re: master cylinder

Loose is 100% normal. Yeah, it kinda feels 'too loose' but that's normal too.

If yours is leaking at the rubber grommets, then yeah, you'll need two new seating grommets, otherwise let 'er ride

Oh, didn't directly answer you:
Mounts on two rubber grommets. No, it cant be tightened, new grommets will give the same results.

Replacement is simple, just pull the reservoir off, it has barbed inlet tubes. Then pullout the grommets, replace with new ones, and press the bottle back on.

Bleeding shouldn't be a problem, but might!! If its not leaking I'd leave it alone.

Thanks Towncar, The reason I asked was someone had put a zip strap on it. It does not leak, and the brakes work fine. I will take your advice and just leave it alone. I think maybe the person that did the strap might have thought it was loose, and thought it might be a quick fix.
