Bumper Repair

98 Jimmy; one of the posts that the front bumper clips into has rusted free from its mount. I don't have the capacity to weld, if I just clean up the area and slater it with bondo will it stay in place?

Do you mean the ones in the front under the grill that are frame mounts - if so you need to pull the grill out and unbolt that entire bumper and do some anti rust repair - sand and paint and NO bondo will not hold structural items like a bumper - if its only for show yes fill it but it will probably drop out (can use screen sold for that that supports the bondo). Now it you mean the side supports they can be purchased for about $25 each at the dealer or at a junk yard and simply bolt on.
