F150 '98 Abs Activates At Low Speed

Howdy There!!!

Ihave this problem witha 98 F150, I try to check the speed sensors on the front wheels, and there are no sensors on them.

Does any one knows what could be wrong with the system?

Where or how the computers gets the input/feedback on wheels speed to control de ABS?

Any help will be greatlly appreciated.

Thanks & Happy Friday

Take Care.

I believe there is also an ABS sensor on the rear wheels. We had the ABS sensor on the front go out recently in our '98 Expedition...I dont' know where exactly either is located though.

Thanks for your reply.

I'll check the rear wheels also.

If you are still interested where this sensor is located, I'll give a hint.

The sensor points parallel to the spindle, theres a hole and a screw hole next
to the spindel location on the center of the hub (litle bit up and front). The sensor is mounted on the back side of the hub.

If you turn the wheel all the way to the left or right, you can see from down and front the sensor and harness that runs to the upper wish bone.

Again, thanks for your reply.
