Any cyclists?

I'm about to get back into cycling by picking up a Specialized MTB at my local shop. There arent many dirt trails aroung here but we have a paved trail that runs through the city so at least I can ride on that. Anyone else into biking at all?

Re: Any cyclists?

i ride more when it's warm. usually in the late spring early summer. i have a mountain bike that i use on both dirt and paved trails. luckily there are some sick trails in New Mexico.

i love to ride, throw the ipod on and i can go all day.

Re: Any cyclists?

Yes winter riding sucks. I'm on the trainer all winter long but it's warming up again so I'll be hitting the trails soon. Lots of fireroads and singletrack here. Also started taking spin classes before the season ended last year - it's improved my cadence something fierce.

Re: Any cyclists?

I do quite a bit in the summer, kinda sucks up here in mn during the winter. Haven't bought a new bike in years, still riding my trek y3 from 1998. Still works like a dream.

Re: Any cyclists?

I'm a rower but i bike when i can. i actually just got my bike all tuned up, new rear tire, new something else, etc. it's just getting warm enough to have a good bike ride.

p.s. we have a cycling forum in the sports A-Z section.

Re: Any cyclists?

I don't right now but I'm thinking about getting into it. I rode constantly before when I lived in town and before I got a car, but I'm so tired of using those damn stationary bikes at the gym.
