Re: what year should i get

1994 and after had the 6-speed tranny. Also it was a 25 spline tranny instead of 18....although smoe 1993's had a 25 spline 5 speed. 1994-1998 (or 97 depending on who you ask) are generally refered to as 2nd generations. 2nd and 3rd generations (and again some 1993's) had a 4 bolt main instead of a 2 bolt main and also a forged crank, and also boosted a few more psi but that could easily be "fixed" on a 1st gen in a few minutes. I would suggest you read the FAQ thread because there is a LOT of good info in there, but im sure someone will come on and explain some more details, i dont have much time right now because im in school. Good luck

Re: what year should i get

well i say you look in the FAQ you will learn a lot in there.
also aero active is just something that helps with down force at a certin speed. just go look in the FAQ and you will see
but i would say get a 96 they look better or 95 they look the same and i think the 95 is lighter, the 97-98 also look very nice and i like the 99 the best but those are very hard to find there was one on sell by me it had 89,000 miles on it for 27,000$ but that was like 3 months ago

Re: what year should i get

as zrydervr4 said about active aero it aids in downforce. at certian speeds the spoiler will tilt forward to give it a more aggressive angle, mine goes at 40mph and tilts back at 25. same goes with the front air dam, it just falls down and retracts up behind the bumper at the same speeds. and by the way, the army sucks dude...im at fort silly oklahoma and spent 2 of the 3 1/2 years ive been in so far in the desert. but it did buy me my baby and my mods list, so i guess i shouldn't complain.
