Re: After driving a 01 cobra

not sure if you're referring to how easy it is to slip/destroy them or how light the pedal is. I'm assuming you're talking a/b how easy it is to destroy them... I easily burned out the stock clutch in the Stealth... only an aftermarket would hold... Never had a stock clutch in the Talon, so idk

feels better than the Toyota clutch I had in my corolla... they are much worse

Re: After driving a 01 cobra

I think Killa is referring to how much easier it is to drive a DSM than any other manual and I totally agree. My Cavalier was a PITA to learn on... my friends that I tried to teach to drive on my Cavy couldnt do it but picked it up easy when they hopped in my other buddy's DSM.

Re: After driving a 01 cobra

Ah, yeah my Stealth and the Talon were the easiest sticks I've ever driven... I couldn't drive a Honda worth a shit... the corolla was easy, but I didn't like how the clutch was in it, and Fords... pshhht... I hated every manual I ever drove(ford-wise)...

Re: After driving a 01 cobra

my friend had a Ford Taurus SHO. The clutch was so hard to press down, it was pretty much similar to a leg extension machine at the local gym. After feeling my clutch, he is now the proud owner of a 99 RS

Re: After driving a 01 cobra

I agree, RS clutches are too light... my '97 was too freakin' easy to push in, I like a little pressure... and it was way too damn easy to slip

With a 6 bolt you won't have to worry about crankwalk so you can run a heavy clutch without worry. I would just go ahead and put a 2600 in it and call it done. That way it'll handle mostly anything you wanna do to it in the future. I've driven a 2g with a 2600 and I didn't think it was bad at all...

Re: After driving a 01 cobra

Yeah, my dsm was way easier to drive than my cobra was. My coba clutch felt like what an ACT 2600 feels like in our cars. STiff and you get quite a work out if you are stuck in traffic.

Re: After driving a 01 cobra

I love my clutch as it's just like the RS/GS. Super soft, but it's too soft. You really can't tell (by feeling the clutch) when it's let go. That'll change sometimes anyways.

Re: After driving a 01 cobra

Meh? Mine isn't as soft as alot of your RS/GS guys are claiming, mines got plenty of feel to it, and driving through Dallas rush hour is a small workout.
