1994 GMC Sierra 2WD Lower Balljoints

I recently have had one of my balljoints split in half from what i can tell. Wasn't going fast and hit a large bump enough to split it. I was thinking of taking it in but have some time on my hands so decided to fix it. It looks like the housing split in half, so i am wondering the best way to remove each of these parts of the balljoints and installing a new one.

A machine shop should be able to press out the old one and press in a new ball joint. Remove the lower control arm and take it to a machine shop.
