Re: Thunder Valley F1

I have just received the Lotus 25 transkit from them.

Very nice people to do buisiness with, Relatively prompt dispatch. Great packaging. Transkit looks great too. Overall I woudl feel safe recommending them.

I also have one of their building mats and have pre-paid on some of their CF hobby knives and am waiting for them to finish the production run (I know, I know! I just COULDN'T resisit them )

From what I've heard, and I speak under correction, you'll still have to wait a little bit. Set 1 is almost done with set 2 soon to follow. Need I say I'm waiting for it too!

Re: Thunder Valley F1

Just checked out their website, man you could sure spend some money there! Not sure I see the value in a lot of it, like 185 US bucks for a set of Protar Ferrari 126C2 rims. The kit wheels could be dressed up to look just as good for a fraction of the cost... IMHO of course.

I'll just wait for my FW14B Set to fully comment on TVF1.
But from what I have talked to Paul he has my full confidence.
He is a really really nice guy and modeler.

Re: Thunder Valley F1

can only second the good comments about TVM - he has been more than helpful with me over the years - I would recommended them to one and all.

I too am on the list for the FW14B stuff, waiting patiently but cant wait for it too arrive!

Stevenski,

Glad to see you got the Lotus 25 kit - drop me a line if I can help you with anything, my home PC is broken at the moment, as soon as its fixed I can send you some ref pics etc.

Anything you can provide will be MUCH appreciated. I bought the Jim Clark book while I was in the UK and I have just won the FMWV book on eBay and waiting for it to arrive but you know how it is - you can never have enough material especially, that I want to do a 1962 version.

i'd like to be added to that list. i finally broke down. i've placed a bid on a Lotus 25 kit on eBay.

Paul dropped me a note yesterday, he's waiting for the dampers to arrive and he's wrapping up the packaging on the first FW14B set.

Well now you've gone and ruined a couple of perfectly good keyboards by drowning them in anticipatory drool...

Re: Thunder Valley F1

Sorry to bump this old thread, but has anyone heard from Paul lately or received their FW14B kits? I paid for mine six months ago; he told me in March that delivery was imminent and I haven't heard from him since...

Re: Thunder Valley F1

Heard from Paul about 2 weeks ago with no hint as to when my items would be shipped. Charged my credit card early May for FW14 kit 1 and brake kit.

Re: Thunder Valley F1

Funny enough, I placed an order with Paul today for the FW14B, the 641/2 and the MP4/6 sets, he said FW14B is due in September, and the other two in November/December.
