Cant get it in . . .

I have a 96 SOHC neon, I have trouble getting into any gear, no grinding noise (except reverse) but 1st and 2nd are sometimes impossible to get into gear. Any suggestions?

Go to this website http://www.boogerracing.com/ and click on Booger bushings. There is a pic showing you what the stock bushing looks like and when it falls out.

The cables are on top of the tranny.
