Clutch jumping
I'm actually asking rather than advising for a change. My Jetta is a 91 GL 1.8L gas. Occasionally when I release the clutch from a stand still, the clutch has a strange feel to it. It pulses. I have never had a CV go out on me before but I wonder if it could be the problem. Does anyone know the symptoms for a bad CV joint. I don't have any problems once the car is moving or when shifting through the remaining gears. Most of the time it pulls out from a stop smoothly and it doesn't matter if I'm on flat ground or an incline.

Re: Clutch jumping
The symptoms finally got bad enough for me to figure it out myself. The clutch cable needed greasing. It was catching during release and would catch, then pop out making it feel like it pulsed. It's also the reason that it wasn't releasing smoothly.
