Unknown sensor
Hi, I have a 1994 Sierra 1500 SLE with a 5.7. I just had the heads replaced and there is a sensor that fits on the left head above and between the #1 and #3 spark plugs. The sensor is broken and I can't find what it is anywhere. I've checked Haynes and Chilton. Oh yeah, it only has one thin green wire coming out of it to the main engine harness. Please help so I don't have to ave this truck towed again for one sensor.

What does your temp gauge read? Does it move at all from the time you first start the truck until it warms up? //2000CAYukon |

Re: Unknown sensor
It doesn't read at all, when I turn the key to start it, the temp guage is the only one to move all the way up , then when the truck is running it doesn't do anything.

Re: Unknown sensor
It is the water temp switch as yukon stated above. On that year it should be a single wire switch. You should be able to pick one up at any part store.
