1120 calories

just made myself a nice burger, 2 thick slabs of beef, 3 slices of cheese, some mayo and some ketchup. i think i'll top that on thursday with some bacon, and a few vegetables (couldn't find onions or tomatos, and i can't just have letus on a burger, needs more or nothing). anyways it came out to about 1120 calories and the one i'll have on thursday will have about 1540 calories (not including the cals from the veggies).

Re: 1120 calories

please, that's nothing.

i have huge bowls of cheerios, each bowl uses a pint of milk (full cream) and that has over 3,000kcal per bowl. i once had 7 bowls in one day. (and felt sick.)

Re: 1120 calories

Eh, who counts calories? I go by quantity. A whole large pizza and 8 beers. Now that's a quality meal right there.

Re: 1120 calories

well i just topped it, i added 8 pieces of bacon for a total of about 2000 calories, not a very good burger to eat when you're trying to lose weight, i don't think i'll eat for the rest of the day.

Re: 1120 calories

Isn't 2000 calories the amount your suppose to have total for 1 day?

That's ok, I go over that amount frequently. But I also try to run a lot too.

Re: 1120 calories

it really depends on the person and how active you are. during the rowing season i have to eat at least 3500 to sustain my weight, depending on how many practices i have during the day, if i have two practices i could be eating 5000 calories without gaining any weight

Re: 1120 calories

That's true. I remember a few years ago, Jay Leno had Michael Phelps on his show. (For those of you who don't remember, he was the olympic swimmer who kicked everyone's ass in every single event he was in. He won 8 gold metals I think.)
Anyways, he ate more for breakfast than I do in 3 days. And I eat a crapload for my size. But he burns up all those calories and carbs during training and stuff. So yeah, more activity requires more fuel and energy.

Re: 1120 calories

first, I've yet to see anyone suggest more than 1800 or 1900Cal for anyone my size (170lbs, 5'9"). Be it the Canadian food guide, the multitude of sports and bodybuilding sites i've been to, or any dietician i've spoken to.

second, this thread is a year old, don't post in old threads.
