Question engine miss

Hope someone can help. My 93 dakota w/5.2L V8 has a miss. It only happens usually once during a drive time, like on the way to work or home. It will stumble like the fuel is cut or like the spark has disappears. But only for a second or two, then it will jump back to life. alldata.com has a distributor problem listed so I'm looking into that. Any help would be welcome. Thanks.

Check your fuel filter or spark plug wires. Your fuel filter could have some junk in it or one of your spark plug wires is missing some were

1993 Dodge truck

hello I do not know how to help you with your problem I have one of my own I have a 1993 dodge dakota 3.9. This truck will not only miss but will do a backfire with blue smoke coming out of the exhaust. The truck looses power completely, you have to pull over on the side of the freeway. It is just like the engine is blown but it isn't. Turn the truck off for a while and it will run again. We have gone through 4 or 5 catylitic converters. WE have had it to multiple shops including the dealership.
No one can find the problem. it just does it intermittently. If you have any ideas on what could be wrong please help. thank you.

I had same problem engine lost all power but kept running. After a lot of trouble shooting I found that one of my fuel injectors was shorting out drawing down the power to all the rest. When it happens be careful not to break plugs but unplug one injector at a time and see if it comes back to life. That waht I did and it is all set now.

1993 Dodge truck problems

Thank you verry much Mr.Goncalves I am looking into this problem. I have found wires that have some of the insulation scrapped off and I have put black electrical tape on them. I am seriously looking at the fuel injector wiring harness also since it is 10 years old now as a soon to be replaced factor in the operation of the truck. Fuel injection which I have found out has several types of systems,ie low speed high speed fuel injection using only 2 injectors to the system that I have which has 6 fuel injectors one for each cylinder, I guess the system that I have serves as a low speed and high speed system through the on board computer system.
There was a article on channel 47 a UHF station that broadcasts in the central valley of California. The subject was on defective ball joints in all types of Dodge trucks and vehicles that utilize a truck frame.ie SUVs, it seems that they will fail and cause serious damage to the car and occupants. Now, the Dodges have not been recalled yet. that is for the future to tell. Dodge of course is not admitting anything. But just beware and have your Dodge truck or SUV checked out by a competent mechanic as soon as possible. I am not sure what year or years of trucks the problem exists in. I personally had a tie rod break on me years ago on a 1963 chevyII. Believe me when I say when the front end of your vehicle fails you are dead I am not kidding anything going wrong with the front end can kill you or someone else. You have no control over the vehicle at all. Please get your vehicle checked out.
thank you very much
