Di-Electric vs Electric Grease
What is the difference between di-electric and electric grease? I'm trying to grease the electrical contacts in a multi-function switch. I used the di-electric but I'm not quite sure if that will cause any problems.

di-electric grease does not conduct electricity vs electric grease which does conduct far as when to use it and not to use it it depends on what your trying to do such as on spak pulg boots youd want dieeltric because electric could cause mispark issues im not sure what would be better in your case but with a little better understaning hope you can figure it out

I have no idea what "Electric Grease" is. Di-electric is very high resistance and used on electrical components. (like spark plug wires). I have no idea where you would use a conductive grease ("electric grease"), I suspect any grease called "Electric grease" is for use on electrical components and is really a di-electric grease.

Dielectric means that it does not conduct electricity. Like the teflon insulator around a piece of cable TV coax. I see it used under things mounted under the distributor cap to insulate them from a metal to metal contact and will help to dissipate heat. It also blocks moisture around electronic connections and wards off corrision.
