clutch problem 93

When I first got car noticed i had to push clutch pedal to floor to get to engauge. Driving down road took out of gear to shift could not get back in gear. When I opened hood fluid was a little low added fluid still didn't
help. When i push the pedal in clutch doesnt disingauge. if i replace the clutch will it fix problem is there anything else tha may cause this

The clutch master cylinder could be leaking internally or there may be air in the line between the clutch slave cylinder and the clutch master cylinder. The purpose of the clutch is to disconnect the engine from the transmission. Clutches are engaged when your foot is off of the pedal and the trans and engine become connected. Step on the pedal is disengaged. Your clutch is dragging. Your clutch is not completely disengaging (disconnecting) when you press the pedal to the floor.

Thanks for info put a stage 1 exeddy clutch in but think there is still some air in line or something needs adjusted sometimes works great some times peddal feels soft and feels like it's not really wanting to dissenguage all the way any ideas

Bleed the clutch hydraulic system.

you will need another person to help. make sure the clutch master cyl is full. have your assistant pump the clutch pedal a few times and hold it down. open up the bleeder screw on the slave cyl. close it and have assist pump it again. you can also get a piece of clear tubing to put over the end of the bleeder screw. also, you can have the assist pump the pedal while you have the bleed screw open. just make sure you do not run out of fluid in the master cyl.
