Question 95 Neon, No clutch peddle

Hey all

Quick question for all of you neon experienced guys

My GF has a 95 Neon and she lost her clutch peddle this morning. Can anyone answer me a couple of questions... Please

1. Is the clutch in this car cable or Hydralic?
2. Is the something common that happens to these cars, Slave cylinder line rusts out.... ??
3. She is pretty good with a stick and the clutch was never slipping, just sounds like it "popped" any good places to start?

TIA
Jason

Re: 95 Neon, No clutch peddle

She has a cable, no slave cylinder and no cable probably means no start due to the clutch cut out switch for starting is now inoperative.

Re: 95 Neon, No clutch peddle

there is a possibility the clutch could be messed up, or the clutch cable linkage has broke. one way to find out is to start the car. if the car strat w/o pushing in the clutch chances r she just has a broke cable linkage. if the car starts only with the clutch pushed in, then u probibly have to replace the whole clutch. if u have to replace the clutch i can tell u how to do it. i'm having to replace the clutch in my neon as well.
