Starting Problem

1996 2.2l 4 -door Cavalier..
Auto Lite spark Plugs and Wires gaped at .60 ths
Had a problem like this befor but it quit. I changed the plugs,wires,tps,map,o2s,air filter, and put a bottle of stp fuel injegtion cleaner in it last time it quit but still had a sputter at a low speed of like 20mph.

Went to go start it, it wouldnt start. Check for gas, check for air, check for spark. Looks like it didnt get any spark. Put the scan tool on it and a code wa sup. I think they told me it said Serial Com-Link Malfunction. Earsed the code and the car started but then kinda rough idle but then it cleared up. So I let it run for about 15 min. Went to go drive it home and it spurtered all the way home and I heard a popping sound a couple of times. It smells like I would say raw eggs or something. I'm not sure what the problem is so please help.
Car is sitting in front of my yard now so I'm driving my moms Ford Explorer.

Help Help Help Please......................................

It's gotten to the point where I just want to get the car fixed and then just sell it.... I'm not sure what exactly I am going to do yet

Re: Starting Problem

Does your car still have a catalitic converter on it? If so this may be your problem. Over time this can become clogged and your engine will have a weird odor when the converter gets hot. It will also loose power and possibly not run. Its similar to plugging the tail pipe of your exhaust. It has to be free of any blockage in order for your engine to breath correctly.
