Exclamation 1990 digital dash Problem!

I just bought a 90 mercury cougar with no radio. While attempting to install one, I accidently shorted some wires. I now have no Spedometer,Odometer,Coolant temp,Oil Pressure, or Amperes displayed.
I pulled the instrument cluster out and checked all of the bulbs. They all looked fine. Some one at Advance Auto said that it's related to the headlight dimmer, but that works fine. He also thought that there is an LCD Illumiation Relay somewhere on the car. I would like to know where? I changed the blown fuses and still won't come on. My interior lights will pop a fuse in less than a minute.

Nevermind.... I solved it. It was a blown fuse under the hood for memory. I didn't have a test light with me, and upon visual inspection the fuse had looked good. Today I checked all of the fuses with a test light, and it didn't light up. They dealer said that it could have been an E.E.C. electronic control relay, witch is also in the under the hood fuse block.
