Quick Question On The Wiper Motors Of A 94 vs A 95
Hey, i have a '94 taurus wagon gl, with the rear wiper blade, but the design of it is completly retarded, on the '95 model they released a much better design and i was wondering if the '95 model would be compatable with the '94 design. The problem with the '94 is that the wiper blade is attached like the wipers in the front, with the wiper arm attaching to the wiper motor shaft with a clip, now you have a huge surface area that rusts solid not letting you get it off. On the '95 they introduced a new way involving a shaft with a notch in it so that the wiper arm is held in place, and you BOLT the arm on to the shaft, thus you dont have the problem of the arm rusting to the shaft with no way to get it off. Anyways, i was wondering if all the holes will line up and such before i go get one from the junk yard! Thanks a ton!

Re: Quick Question On The Wiper Motors Of A 94 vs A 95
You may want to consider taking the motor assembly from your '94 to a parts house that has a motor for a '95 wagon in stock, have them pull it from the shelf, open the box and compare them.
You might be waiting awhile to find someone who reads this forum that happens to own both a 1994 and a 1995 wagon and is willing to pull them apart. -Rod |
