check transmission light
My check transmision lights starts flashing and the transmission goes into limp mode. 93 Rodeo LS , I turn the car off and start it again and the light goes away, and everything is normal. This also happen a lot If I suddenly have to brake, after the rodeo stop, the check transmission light starts to flash. I have check the fluids which is normal, hope someone can help.

Jose, I had the same issue and changed my alternator. It fixed the flashing "check Trassmission" light. Go to this thread and read down through to get some tips.

Changed alternator, still having the same problems. Anyone knows what the problem could be?

you could have an intermittent electrical glitch that sets it off. another thing that can set it into limp mode is overheating the trans fluid. same scenario. so, i'd suggest you become super analytical about what you are doing, what the conditions are, etc., prior to getting the dreaded trans flash. any ideas about what precedes the flashing? btw, you have probably read that isuzu's generally are not happy campers with rebuilt alternators that are not of the highest quality. namely they want the ones from the dealer, or rebuilt by bosch, or some say the good ones from NAPA. what did you replace yours with? if it was from a bigboxpartsstore, it could still be the problem, but i would suggest you get it tested by a competent shop *under load* before just replacing it unless you are sure it is bad. //bc
