All tuned and ready to go

I recently got my bike tuned up, it's 31 years old and hadn't been ridden in over 10 years. so i brought it to the shop, they fix it up in two days, i pick it up and as i'm driving back from the shop it starts snowing.

so i went a few days without biking because of the weather, but i just took it out for its first big ride since the tune, and let me tell you she runs great. i was out for about 2 hours and had a great time, i'm going to bike to school a few times, classes finish a week from monday, then probably bike to work in the summer.

Re: All tuned and ready to go

I had a dyno detour (gt) that I kept since I was 14. The front forks were bent (stock but even more because of not quite clearing the landing ramps from high airs... haha). I kept it in case I ever had a son. That never became a reality so I took it to the dump heap. It was the tits when I got it back in the day and when I finally chucked it into the garbage heap, it was just rusted metal with 2 flat tires. It even had mag wheels. You don't see that very often these days. I wonder if I could've made some money on it. Oh well...

Re: All tuned and ready to go

Mine is in about 100 pieces right now, had to pull it apart to assess the damage from the last crash at the end of last season. So far, I have to replace the bottom bracket, rear hub, and the front disc caliper.
