Fuel Problems??

Ok, maybe somebody can help me out with a problem ive been having with my Ram. Recently it has been having problems that really feel like fuel problems. We ran the truck really low on fuel (digital meter showed 1 mile left) and after we filled it up it had a hard time starting. It cranked over for a few seconds before fireing up. The check engine light came on, and on my way to work, the truck totally stalled out on me. I had to turn the ignition off and crank it over again for a few seconds before it started back up again. It starts up without any problems if it sits for a while, but after being driven, it ALWAYS requires a few seconds of crank before it starts. It also seems like it is starving for fuel when I try to push the truck too hard, if I give it a bunch of gas, it will usually get up to about 3500rpms and it will jerk really hard on me. I cant get the truck over 3500. Any input would be great.

Re: Fuel Problems??

Now ya done it.

Running that low on fuel is hard on the pump, I bet you damaged it. When you hit 1/4 tank, head for the gas station.

Check your codes now that the check engine light is on.
