Radiator Fill Light On
I have a 2000 Cavi. 2.2L. the radiator fill light came on after an oil change. I checked the fill just to make sure but the over flow tank was full. In the past I have had the problem of the fill level sensor going bad, so I replaced it. The radiator fill light is still on. I don’t know what to do next. Please help!

Re: Radiator Fill Light On
Are you talking about the same light , as in the low coolant light.? maybe who ever did the oil change bumped the electrical plug ,check it . Give the resevoir a couple of taps and see if it goes out .It may be sticking again. Maybe clean out the resevoir and refill it

Re: Radiator Fill Light On
usually these sensors don't go "bad", they just get covered in crap because dexcool last 150k. people replace the sensor, don't flush the system, and soon the new sensor is coated with crap and goes "bad". if your car is eating coolant level sensors get you coolant flushed and your new sensor will last longer.

Re: Radiator Fill Light On
Thanks for the advice, the radiator had been replaced a few months previous and the system flushed then. The sensor was replaced then as well.
The low coolant light went out on the drive home from work today, so we’ll see what happens in the next couple of days. I hope that it stays off and I don’t have an electrical problem. I’ll let you know. THANKS |
