SPEED THE MUTHA-EFFIN RACER!
Heard this a couple of days on G4 and instantly ran around the room squealing like a lubed up pig. http://www.canmag.com/news/4/3/5604 Can't. Effin. Wait. I'm hoping the Mach V is gonna be some pimp shit for reals.

Yea but Pole Position was a game, I don't see how they could turn that into a movie and stay true to its roots. And Hawk of the whaty what?
I just want to see some spy pics of the Mach V mang, I so hope they don't eff it up.

Wow man those are really old school, the Grand Prix one seems pretty awesome though. Man the oppurtunities are endless for a new automotive cartoon/anime to be made with today's technology. I just hope it wouldn't be some knock off NASCAR bullshit >_<

Wow....Speed Racer live action. Make it PG-13 or R and we'll have a sweet car action movie!!! Stupid family movies...
If you think about it, with all the violence that show with racers' cars going off the track. Who came up with the idea to dig years and years into the past to make this.

I don't think there's any way the Wachowski Bros are gonna pass this one off as a family movie. But damn, when you think of the old school action with today's technology.........There's only a few ways they can screw it up, and I totally trust all the Matrix personal to put out a hit.

I saw this feature in the Feb 2001 issue of Wired where you could buy your own Mach 5 if you had 72,000 bucks to blow. it was built on a 90's vette chassis and had a 400 horse chevy smallblock in it. I'd put the website up there, but I just checked, and it doesn't work. oh well.

I remember seeing that a while back, looks pretty sweet in person. But I'm guessing it'll be changed dramatically in the movie, which I'm fine with as long as it looks mean as hell.
