hey guys
i have a 2000 civic sir and going with a optima battery and relocating it to the trunk. i have the box, wires and the battery now whats the best way to do this? do i need fuse on the positive if so which one? easy way the route the wire? is this a safe mod to do with a daily driving car? sorry for the rookie questions just have kids and want it to be safe.. someone said not to do this mod because the stock alternator will not charge it? and kill the battery even if i use the 800 ca optima battery.. i don't know if thats true can some one help me..please. thanks in advance |

Re: battery question
nah thats not true it wont kill your battery. as long as your hook it up right youll be fine. look at bmw and miata. they have batteries i nthe trunk stock. but the easieast way to run it would probably be along the inside of the rocker panel on the passanger side. run it through the grommet on the firewall and hook it to a distribution block. then hook everything back up.
