i blew my tranny smokin a stang

whats up guys , i blew my F%$%^cking tranny, well yesterday i paid 450 for new plugs and wires,car was driving 100% better,i was on the freeway bout 12 am ,and was racing some 05 GT stang, for about 15 miles, i was smokin him pretty bad,got him 4 times from a roll,the last time i shifted from 3rd to fourth and heard grinding and couldnt get the car in gear,pulled over and the stickshift and center console was shaking real bad,then i was stuck and the car wouldnt go in any gear and i had to get her towed, took it to a shop cracked my tranny but at least i smoked a new stang gt(with his chick in the car)but im sure he got the last laugh!

At least your tranny should have been happy for a while. That's not the kind of thing a lot of people would be bragging about. I've seen a few trannies in New Orleans, the upper east side in NYC, and a few other places who would like to be blown.

The T-5 and T-56s just aren't that strong of a case, whether they are "regular" or "World Class" units. At some (moderately low) power levels, they all start to take some case stresses that they just cannot handle for any length of time. There are thousands of similar stories backing that argument, and even Borg Warner admits the original designs were only rated at around 300 ft/lb.

I dread the day when my clutch goes, and I can tell its just a matter of time at this point. The worse part is that I will get a shift kit, light flywheel, and aluminum driveshaft to go along with the new clutch, so it may cost me close to grand with labor. Damn that whole "if you give a mouse a cookie" metallity

what suxs about it, is that it was my first time really racing the car hard,$1200 down the drain for the tranny and i spent $400 that same day for plugs and wires and now im going f%%#%cking crazy cuz i dont have a car and my chicks controlling everthing i do, i cant even go to the gym,and her ride has 115 hp and is slower then SH*&^^T (2000 jetta)im really going crazy i need my ride back, later

did you have the plugs and wires installed?

yes i had them installed,400 out the door,most place's in town wanted to charge me 400 just in labor,cause there hard to get too,
