Wireing Question...

Ok, I got a new box, got rid of the bandpass and went ported. While doing so, I found out the specs on my sub are different. 8 Ohms a piece, and the amp is 4 Ohms bridged. Would it be best to hook them up parallel as bridged?

Re: Wireing Question...

Ok, I did that, and it sounds virtually the same as it did 2 channel canfig in series. that should be round 120 some watts, it should be round 370 bridged. Any thoughts?

Re: Wireing Question...

Ok, I set my gains almost all the way down (or up, which ever give it the louder sound), Still doesnt kick much better even tho I should be pushin atleast 1 1/2 the watts, I also get no clipping from what I could tell, which is good. But if I turned it all the way down (or up) it started to distort a lil bit. Any other reason why i wouldnt hit the kicks I should be getting?

distort=clipping.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Would it sounding a bit higher pitched be that? Any ideas as to why its not kicking more after I bridged it?

What do you mean how does it kick? By kick I mean how hard the bass hits, loudness and such. And when I went from 2 channels to 1 channel bridged, I didn't notice any increase in the subs. Anyone have any ideas?
