bmw 1993 diesel automatic

can anyone give advice on where the automatic transmission level indicator should be. have looked over the engine and can't seem to find anything that resembles a dip-stick tnx bella

I dont know about your particular model but i had a 1993 540i and it had no transmission dipstick. Modern automatic transmissions are filled with synthetic oil which is desidgned to last the life of the transmission unless ofcourse you have a leak!!!

the level can be checked by removing a plug in the side of the transmission and your dealer will gladly do this.
