95 Camaro slips when you accel

I can shift (5 speed) without any problems, but if I try to accelerate too fast, my RPM's may jump to 6000 without the car going any faster. If I have the cruise set and start going uphill, it does the same thing. I have to gradually speed up ( which makes passing a real hassel). Is this a tranny or clutch problem ( or something else)? Any help is appreciated.

Time to replace the clutch. Either that or something (oil) got on the clutch plate and has ruined it. Either way...new clutch.
