Where are outdoor temp sensors mounted?
Seems like a dumb question but living in the desert, I've been really impressed with how well the outdoor temp sensor on several desert cars I've had adapt within a mile or so from being parked in the blazing sun. I've always wondered where the hell those things are typically mounted because I can tell you that when it's 115 out and the car has been in the sun for three hours, I can't begin to think of anyplace on that car where you could get an accurate reading within a couple minutes of driving.

Re: Where are outdoor temp sensors mounted?
In front of the radiator, behind the front bumper usually. As long as the air going around it is ambient air, which it would be before it hits the radiator, then the readings will be accurate.
