1993 Buick Regal
During our last ice storm, I tried to open my car doors. When I lifted up the handle it went up just fine, but now I can no longer get into my car, because three of the four doors are now in this condition. I have the front door apart but I am not able to figure out what is wrong with the linkage because it all is attached still. I see no way of adjusting it. Any ideas????

Re: 1993 Buick Regal
Welcome to AF. Did you break off the tab that connects the linkage to the door handle, can you lift the latch rod manually and open the door?

Re: 1993 Buick Regal
If I operate the handle from the inside it works. I lift the outside handle and I can feel the linkage move all the way down to the latch but it just doesn't seem to push it down far enough to release the door latch.

Re: 1993 Buick Regal
The rod is bent, from the handle to the lock.
