need coil spring help please

Hello all,my daughter had a flat today and when i took the tire off the sidewall was tore out.the coil spring was broke and tore it up.my question is this: i found a local salvage yard that has a 99 four door grand am he will sell me the strut and coil spring combo for $50.00..my daughters car is a 99 grand am two door gt.will they be the same?any help would be appriciated.

I would be careful and make sure the one from salvage is off a Grand Am that has the FE3 suspension option. This is the performance suspension option for GA GT. The coil springs and struts are not the same and should be matched to your suspension. The standard suspension is GM RPO code FE2. You can check the SPID label located on the back of the spare tire cover to verify.
