1/12 Tamiya 934 jagermeister- Decals?

Just picked up the 1/12 jagermeister 934. It is an original kit from the 70's or whenever it was first issued. Of course the decals are a lovely shade of yellow. Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket option for this 1/12 scale decal dilema? Thanks

Re: 1/12 Tamiya 934 jagermeister- Decals?

Hello Eric!
I also had the same problem, which I solved by exposing the decal to the direct sunlight for days(ex gluing on the window). It usually works, othervise you have to remove the clear lack with some kind of chemicals and respray the entire decal with clearcote...

I have this decal set 8 times. I have built this model 8 times for a company that sells paint, and they wanted me to paint the 8 Porsches in 8 different colors, without sponsors, to use at fairs and shows. So the only decals I used are the dashboard and a few small ones in the interior, but all the Jägermeister sponsoring and co-sponsors are still intact. I can send you a sheet if you want. They are still in good condition.

Re: 1/12 Tamiya 934 jagermeister- Decals?

Thanks for the advice pirate067, I'll scan them first in case I need to print new decals out on decal paper.
My concern is that I've tried "sun-bleaching" before. My 959 Dakar decals spent 10 months in my window and the yellow stayed, only the colors bleached out. By the way, anyone know if there is a source for those 959 decals??

Re: 1/12 Tamiya 934 jagermeister- Decals?

i've just recieved the latest release of this kit and i dont want to build the jagermeister car so the sponser decals are up for grabs too. i do have a problem though. i would like to build the brumos porsche and cant find the decals to do it. i haven't the first clue of how to produce my own, painting some of it shouldn't be an isssue but as you see on the link below the side stripe might pose a bit of a challenge. help/advice appreciated guys.
