Twin Turbo Zet.

I know about the boat blowers and how they do shit for your car.
Anyone have experience with the turbo zet? They have a website: http://www.turbozet.com Has anyone have any experience with it? I commute 100 miles a day so I need something that can save me on gas. Here's a link to ebay where the guy is selling it:

I didn't read the whole ebay ad, but some thing I noticed is this. "By adjusting the volume of air to an ideal air and fuel mixture ratio 14.7:1", 14.7:1 is theoretically ideal but not in reality, cars need to run much richer than this. I don't remember the exact numbers but a couple of years ago I read that Honda's run at 13.?:1 at cruise and 12.?:1 at full throttle. So if this device really does cause your engine to be at 14.7:1( which I don't believe it does), you will be running too lean and risk hurting your engine.

Cars don't need to run that rich anymore.

Modern hondas can run all the way out to 17:1 at part load (cruise) to improve fuel economy (less pumping loss). They're almost dead-nuts on stoich at WOT.

Some gasoline dragsters will run in the 12.5:1 range, but a catalyst wouldn't last long with that much fuel getting dumped into it.

my $ 0.02 about the ZET: it's not gonna work. Not even a little bit. Complete BS scheme to separate the marks from their money. Sooner or later the FTC may catch up with them, but don't count on getting any money back if you buy one.

One guy i emailed that bought said it worked as advertised.
But thats all he said. Regular turbo will lower my MPG, the turbo zet says it will increase the MPG. I'm still debating on getting it. I'll tell you guys how it works if I do.

Well agaisnt everyone saying it won't work i went and bought it anyway for $209. I emailed a guy that bought it and he said:
Quote:
i installed the turbo zet yesterday, and it is great. i installed it on my 99 integra gsr, and i also have i/h/e setup as well. the noticeable differences are the better acceleration, smoother idling, and amazing responsiveness. my car is a 5-spd, and there are two extremely noticeable differences that the turbo zet made... one, when shifting, you can barely feel it. the extra air being forced in almost holds the rpm's for you... i have been driving stick for a while now, so i shift pretty quickly anyway, but it feels so much smoother. also, along with that statement, when you take your foot off the gas, while it is in gear, it feels like the car is in overdrive. it keeps moving and decelerates at a much lower degree. its great. i dont have any times or dyno tests to give you because i don't measure that stuff now. my car isn't hooked up as much as i want it to be yet, so i would never bother running any tests. but honestly, the little differences are so great. the turbo zet was well worth the money. installation was really simple, too. i am not an expert mechanic, but it didn't take me long to install the turbo zet. it comes with everything you need. in case you wanted to know, i hooked it up to my AEM short ram intake and i used a K&N air filter, which i bought from Michael Poole, who is the person selling the turbo zet. if you have any other questions, feel free to ask me. i definitely approve of the product; its great!
I'll tell ya how it works when i install it. It'll be in by next weeek.

I bet the guy selling it wrote that email. Sounds really fake to me. Plus in my opinion the car not slowing down when you let off the gas is not an improvement, its a degragation. Ever hear of engine breaking?

Re: Twin Turbo Zet.

Bad newbie. don't bring back old threads.

If it hasn't been posted in for 3 months, it's dead and is not to be brought back.

besides, the turbo zet doesn't work anyway. so don't worry about getting on because it only damages fuel economy.
