Hesitating on Acceleration

What would be the (or some) possible causes for this? I have a '93 SL.
Usually when I start driving it's fine, but once I'm driving for a little bit (a few miles at most) it will hesitate when I accelerate - mostly when I'm at about 40 or so and accelerating up to 55, but occasionally just as I'm driving along on local roads at 30 it will suddenly.. hesitate and jerk a little before it gets up to speed again.

I had to replace the alternator about a year ago, new battery recently, exhaust system overhauled this past summer, brakes at the beginning of winter. So it's been riding along happily until now.

Re: Hesitating on Acceleration

If I had to guess from what you have written, I would say it is a fuel pressure regulator, an injector or even a near maxed out fuel filter unable to give you the fuel when you are trying to accerlerate.

Re: Hesitating on Acceleration

How about spark plugs, plug wires, airfilter, fuel filter, clean out the throttle bore and EGR valve and ports. Maybe the ECTS and connector need replaced?

How many miles? Maybe the CAT is clogged.
Could be a bunch of stuff
