2000 silhouette hesitation
Have an intermitent hesitation at cruising speed. So far have changed plugs, wires, coil packs(3),fuel pump, fuel filter,&fuel regulator. the hesitation comes & goes & is sometimes worse than other times. If anybody has any further suggestions I would appreciate them. I was thinking EGR valve but dosen't really idle rough, also the car starts normally. Mileage is 128k

Re: 2000 silhouette
Look for cracks in the duct/hose between the air filter housing and the throttle body. The MAF sensor is located in there somewhere and if you have a crack in the right place you get air bypassing the sensor. Since the fuel is metered based on the air flow measurement, the mix will be lean and you will get hesitation.
I had this problem on my 95 Mazda and went through a lot of needless repairs before I found the real problem.
