EMERGENCY BRAKE STUCK helppp!!!!!!!
Hey all,
thank you so much for everything. I got this problem fixed. it ended up being the Rotor, Dist. cap and wires. car running like new. but as all you Jeep owners know once something is fixed something else breaks down. This morning I went to take off the Emergency brake and the button you press to take it off came of along with the spring and what do you think happen next.. I cant get the Emergency brake down and now cant drive the car. HELP!! can anyone tell me what to do next. Thanks again |

Re: EMERGENCY BRAKE STUCK helppp!!!!!!!
Is there anything in the socket created by the departure of the e-brake switch? There might be something (maybe a pin or such that the button used to connect to) that you might be able to press in w/ the butt end of a small mag-light or the tip of needle-nose pliers to let you at least unlock and reset the brake & get it driveable again.

Re: EMERGENCY BRAKE STUCK helppp!!!!!!!
hey all, I got this fixed also. there is a area to the back of the brake rod that I was able to put a screw driver and it released the emergency brake.
unfortunatly the panel that you see the Park, drive, reverse kinda broke so I need to get a new one. unless can I just get one of those leather sleaves and put that there instead, just to change the look a little. thanks all again. |
