Gas lines leaking !!on a 1993 Beretta
I had my brakes done and the fellow who replaced them noticed the gas lines leaking under the drivers door ,there are 3 lines from front to back are quite rotted out ,what would be a fair price to pay someone to do this job ,and does the tank need to be dropped ?..Are there special hoses they use for this or somthing else . seems like a delicate job

Re: Gas lines leaking !!on a 1993 Beretta
since no one has replied I will tell you what I think, assuming you have not already had this fixed. Unless you have to replace ALL of it the mechanic should be able to splice new steel lines into place, without dropping the tank. In the old days you could use rubber lines but with 40-50 lbs of fuel pressure you need to use steel or, high pressure rubber fuel lines, which might be a lot more and more difficult to find. The spliced sections most likely won;t be expensive, but you will have labor involved. I would think that it is not likely that ALL of you lines need replaced, but I can't make that call. If you can see them OK see about how much line is rusted and talk to a couple of garages and ask them for a rough idea. Sorry not much more help, should not be a horrible amount of money unless they are all bad from one end to the other.
