89 Caprice Idling problem
I have an 89 chevy caprice and I am having high idling problems and I was just wondering if it has an IAC motor or what else it could be

Welcome Aboard!
If the car has a TBI fuel system, it has an IAC motor. Any source of excessive intake air can cause high idle, including vacuum hose leaks, an EGR leak, incorrect PCV valve, leaking power brake booster, or leaks at any gasketed joint. A sticking throttle cable, throttle plate, or sticking IAC can also cause high idle. |

BB is correct in all of his statements. If it's a TBI car, a common cause of this is the gasket between the TBI and intake manifold.

Thanks guys I figured it did, I would be looking at it myself but it is my dads cr and he lives 1.5 hours away
