Is it difficult to change a fuel injector on a V-6

Can anyone give me insight on changing a fuel injector on a 1990 camry V-6? I think I narrowed it down to bad fuel injector on cylinder #3. From what I can see thats probably the hardest one to get to. Can it be done without removing the intake? Thanks..........Royboyz

If it's one of the back ones, I believe you need to remove the intake plenum in order to remove the fuel rail and ultimately the injector directly underneath. The removal of the intake plenum is a little intimidating the first time, but you can probably do it within 1.5 hrs. Take some photos of the vacuum lines, etc before disassembling and maybe use a labeller. You will have a fairly sore back doing all this though! Probably good to wear a back support belt when you do it. The plenum to head gasket is metal and I think can be reused if you want, but do inspect it thoroughly. While you have the fuel rail off, it may be a good idea to replace all the injector o-rings.

yes to everything dave says!
also, if it has 8mm allen bolts like my 93, be very careful. when you remove them, don't pull them - break them loose in one hit if you can. i didn't know any better and chewed up one of mine and had to use a bolt out to remove it.
