need help 91 stealth es wont start

when i try to start car it blows engine fuse.
fuse inside car .
engine does turn over but does not fire
why does fuse blow?

sounds like maybe ignition

you think it could be ignition switch or farther into ignition seystem

if there was a short in the fuel pump could that be the reason why the engine fuse inside the car blows?
