My 1996 gt convertible seat belts will not retract all the way. Everyone I talk to says this is a common problem with all mustangs. I was told that Ford will repair this under warranty do to it being a safety concern. If anyone knows this for sure let me know, or if you have any other solutions it would be great to hear. Any thing is better than bundling it up and throwing it in the seat, or closing it in the door. Thanks for any help.

Re: Seat belt
The driver's side belt did the same thing on my '87. I know 50resto.com sells replacements but they are over $200. I just said to hell with it and bought a 5-point harness, the car has a roll cage in it anyway.
