Help coolant leak

does anybody know if there is a freeze plug behind the bottom pully of the timing belt on a 3.4dohc motor

Not that I'm aware of, but there is a gasket between the front timing cover and the engine block that water passes through. It can fail internally, and the coolant will come out the front cover around the end of the crank.

thanx this is the info we've been trying to find out before we tore into it or paid to have it done so we'd know if it was worth the effort .
